Country Club

Some of the most interesting, cutting-edge architecture in town can be found in the County Club area. The topography ranges from gentle slopes to steep hillside settings. The area boasts some of the oldest and some of the newest homes in La Jolla. Many of the homes overlook the famed La Jolla County Club or the expanse of reserved open spaces on Mount Soledad. On the northern slope, there are gated estates with postcard views of the north shore. At the top, in La Jolla Summit, there are wonderful family homes built on theater lots with south-facing views of the ocean and city. Homeowners in The Summit make good use of the community amenities such as two pools, lighted tennis courts, and work-out facilities.
