Lower Hermosa has some of the most prized waterfront estates in La Jolla, with mature landscaping and architecturally striking homes, both new and vintage. The neighborhood is located on the west side of La Jolla Boulevard and while the streets are relatively level many of the homes have beautiful ocean and sunset views. Most of the residents live here full-time, but there are also many homeowners who spend part of the year in La Jolla. People who gravitate to Lower Hermosa particularly like walking or biking to the ocean and frequenting the shops in Bird Rock. The hardiest among them can walk the level streets to the Village of Jolla.
