Bordered on the north by UCSD and the east by Highway 5, La Jolla Village is home to young professionals, students, and second-home owners. Composed entirely of condominiums and apartments in a variety of complexes, some with tennis courts and most with pools and spas, area residents have the best freeway access in town and fan out in every direction for work and play. La Jolla Village is also home to a terrific shopping center, known as La Jolla Village Square with a Whole Foods, Ralph’s, Trader Joe’s, Peets coffee and many other shops. The Square also has an AMC theater with 12 screens and a multiplex art movie house. Condos range from one to three bedrooms in low rise buildings or in side by side single and two story townhouse style condominiums. The size of units ranges from roughly 1100 to 2000 square feet.
